George Wilhelm Decker appears only in the 1850 and 1870 census [1], with his mother and brothers, and his 1874 marriage certificate [2]; his 1896 death certificate [3] indicates he was widowed.
He is buried in Green-wood cemetery, in the Decker family plot. Cemetery records [5] also indicate that at the time of his death, he was widowed and survived by two children John and Edna Decker.
GenForum posting lists another child, Edith, described as dying at a young age; ItalianGen lists only one Edith born before 1893 and died before 1896: this Edith was born and died in 1887, age 14 days. Another child, George Henry, was born [6] and died [7] in 1875, age 4 months; his Manhattan death certificate shows burial in Poughkeepsie, where his mother's family lived per 1850 and 1860 census.

Wife Charlotte Elizabeth Carson Decker ... Her marriage certificate [2] lists the names of her parents as Henry Carson & Elizabeth Gilkenson. It appears she died in 1893 [4], after bearing youngest child in 1888, and before her husband's death in 1896 [3].
